This is a beautiful handmade Cyanotype Photogram of Cornish grasses using the traditional process invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842.

High quality acid free paper is hand coated with photosensitive chemicals and allowed to dry before being exposed using sunlight to produce a contact print. After exposure the print is then washed. It is at this point that the chemicals oxidise to produce the Prussian Blue colour. Due to the nature of the process each print is unique and the depth of colour varies from print to print. The print is then mounted in acid free white card.

Card dimensions 135 mm x 135 mm.

Cyanotype dimensions approximately 60 mm x 60 mm.

Can also be framed as an art piece.

The card is left blank inside for your message and comes with a matching envelope.
